It is with great regret that we announce that this year’s Grasslands Trail Run has been canceled. More and more counties and cities are banning events that have more than 250 attendees. While we believe that a trail race is safer than many other places, we also acknowledge that some locations within our events have extremely high traffic—aid stations, porta potties, registration, and finish line, to name a few.

We are currently working with our vendors to determine what orders can be canceled, delayed, or repurposed for another race. We appreciate the support and understanding that our vendors have given us, many who are also small businesses and count on our race. We thank Keller Trophy, Rooster’s Roadhouse, and Grasslands Getaway for their help.

Many of you have already reached out to us with questions about race cancellation and what this means for a race credit or refund. We’re not ignoring you. Please give us a couple of days to work through this so we can come up with something that is equitable to all. Just like all of you, this is unchartered territory for us, and we want to make decisions that are fair and sustainable so that we can continue to host wonderful running events.
